About Shangase Brands | OhSo Bright South Africa
Proudly South African Laundry and Home Cleaning Products
Shangase Brands is the South African company behind OhSo Bright, a locally manufactured range of concentrated laundry detergents and home cleaning products. Based in Umbogintwini, Durban, the company supplies households, retailers, traders, small businesses and distributors across South Africa and into African export markets.
OhSo Bright was developed to offer South African customers effective cleaning products at affordable prices, with concentrated formulations designed to deliver value through everyday use.
Our Story: The Development of OhSo Bright
Shangase Brands was founded by Bongi Shangase, a KwaZulu-Natal entrepreneur with a strong record of building regional businesses.
As a Level 2 B-BBEE company, Shangase Brands focuses on marketing, sales and distribution of home and personal care products, supporting the growth of locally manufactured South African brands.
The development of OhSo Bright Laundry Detergent Paste took three years of formulation work and testing before commercial launch.
The objective was clear: develop a concentrated laundry detergent suitable for South African washing conditions, delivering effective stain removal, brighter laundry and fabric softening in one product.
Today, OhSo Bright continues to expand its presence in South African retail stores, wholesale distribution and online sales.
